Benjamin Sigman, Senior Associate

 

Ben is a land use economist with over eight years of experience providing consulting services for public- and private-sector clients.  Since joining ERA’s New York City office in 2005, Ben’s work has focused on real estate market research, financial feasibility analysis, and regional economic impact studies.  He has extensive experience quantifying demand for residential, retail, office, R&D, hotel, and entertainment projects throughout the United States.  Ben also has performed numerous financial feasibility studies, including analyses of large-scale, multi-phase master plan development projects.  In addition, Ben is an expert in regional economic analysis and has evaluated the economic and fiscal impacts of a wide variety of economic activities.  His project work has addressed mixed-use development, transit-oriented development, traditional neighborhood development, infill development, and “green” development projects.

 

Prior to joining ERA, Ben conducted a broad range of economic and other technical analyses while working with Economic & Planning Systems in Berkeley, CA and Industrial Economics in Cambridge, MA.  Ben holds a Masters of Science in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Davis and a Bachelors of Arts magna cum laude, with distinction in Economics, from Colby College.
