Chris Brewer, Principal


Chris has been with ERA since 1995. His consulting practice has focused on real estate market analysis, detailed project financial analysis, fiscal and economic impact assessment, and economic planning services, focused in several specific areas: Mixed Use Downtown Revitalization, Redevelopment of Older Commercial Corridors, Adaptive Reuse, Military Base Redevelopment, Parks and Recreation, and Performing Arts Centers.

Chris’ projects have been completed for developers, public agencies, financial institutions, and universities located in 33 states, as well as in Mexico and Germany. Nationally, private clients have included Cushman & Wakefield, Harrah’s, and Delaware North Parks Services; public clients have included the City of San Antonio, the City of Dallas, and the City of Durham. Across the Midwest, clients have ranged from larger cities such as Kansas City, Des Moines and Wichita, to growing Chicago area edge cities such as Elgin and Tinley Park, and inner ring suburbs such as Oak Park, Park Forest, and Wilmette.

Chris received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Economic Development, and Political Science at Drake University in 1991. Graduate studies at the University of New Hampshire led to a Master of Science in Environmental Economics, Impact Assessment and Natural Resource Monitoring in 1993. Prior to joining ERA, he worked for Thorne Consultants, a Washington, DC based real estate consulting firm.
