Mac has 20 years of experience in downtown revitalization and redevelopment, urban neighborhood commercial district revitalization, and historic real estate development. As of member of the Downtown Works practice group, Mac works on downtown development, urban retail and mixed-use development projects for public and private clients. Recent projects include: retail and mixed-use development plans for sites, corridors and commercial districts, economic impact analysis of public and private developments, downtown revitalization strategies and implementation programs, and entertainment district plans
Prior to joining ERA, he served as Director of Preservation Development Initiatives and Senior Program Manager for the National Main Street Center at the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington, DC, where he developed and advised urban and rural commercial district revitalization programs throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Canada, India, and Singapore.
