Raymond E. Braun, Senior Vice President


Raymond is the head of the firm's Entertainment and Recreation Practice Group and specializes in entertainment development projects, recreation and tourism economics, and attraction development potential throughout the United States and in Europe, Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, Australia, Canada, Mexico, and South America.


Attraction analysis conducted by Ray involve consideration of visitor attendance potentials, site analysis, planning guidelines, entertainment content, operating characteristics, and financial performance. Theme park industry clients include major operating companies such as Disney, Universal Studios, Six Flags, Paramount, Village Roadshow, and Marlin Entertainment.


He has analyzed the full range of attraction types, including The J. P. Getty Center in Los Angeles, The Rose Center at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, and California Academy of Science in San Francisco, as well as the Georgia Aquarium.


Internationally, Ray has extensive experience in urban entertainment development concepts. In San Francisco, he was involved in planning Yerba Buena Gardens, an urban mixed-use project which incorporates entertainment and retail features along with cultural facilities, major public gardens, hotels, and convention center. He helped plan LA Live, the entertainment zone around the Staples Center arena in Los Angeles, incorporating hotel, entertainment/retail performance venues, and residential development.


Ray holds a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College and an M.B.A. from UCLA.
