Tom has been a real estate and land use consultant in private practice for 21 years. He joined ERA in 1994, and focuses his work in two of ERA's core practice areas: urban real estate and economic development planning for municipalities and private-sector clients. He directs engagements dealing with all property sectors, with an emphasis on mixed-use, downtown and waterfront, and commercial district redevelopment, and repositioning strategies for underperforming commercial assets. He leads much of the firm’s practice throughout Florida and is also active in geographic markets ranging from Boston to Kansas City to Dallas and across the southeastern United States. He is active in the Urban Land Institute's District Council in Washington, D.C., and has served on multiple ULI advisory services panels across the United States. Tom holds a Master of City Planning degree from the University of Pennsylvania with a Certificate in Real Estate Development from its Wharton School of Business (1983), and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies,
cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth (1980).
