Bill has been in the land planning and development economics consulting profession since 1969 and has been with ERA since 1976 and currently serves as managing partner of ERA’s San Francisco office. He specializes in the revitalization of business, industrial and housing areas by providing a variety of services to cities, counties, redevelopment agencies, transportation authorities, planning departments, land planning/urban design firms, real estate development interests and foreign government agencies. One area of concentration is downtown development strategies, and he has consulted with over 150 downtowns in the United States and Asia during his over 30-year career. Bill also specializes in the management and conduct of system-wide economics studies for new rail transit systems. These assignments typically include community economic impact, station area development planning, real estate financial analysis, government policies, institutional arrangements, public financing strategies and conflict resolution. During his career, Bill has analyzed the development economics at over 350 rail stations in the United States and Asia. Bill holds a BS from Stanford University in Economics with minor in Mathematics as well as an MBA from Columbia University specializing in International Business.
